Investigators still working on cause of house explosion

HAMPTON, N.J. - Investigators in Hunterdon County, New Jersey are trying to zero in on the cause of a deadly house explosion.

Police say a preliminary investigation is leaning toward a propane tank that was leaking gas into the house in Hampton.

The explosion happened Wednesday.

Deborah Smith, 56, was killed.

Police say the County Prosecutor and insurance investigators are working on a more comprehensive investigation.

The definitive cause of the blast probably won't be known for several weeks.
