Marijuana law slow to take root

NJ marijuana law

New Jersey's new medical marijuana regulations are supposed to take effect today, but the law appears to be slow to take root.

Six non-profit groups have been given the go-ahead to grow and sell marijuana to patients with certain conditions.

But only one has announced zoning and approval for operation.

One of the centers that was supposed to open in central New Jersey was shot down when local lawmakers voted on Friday against allowing it to open.
