Ann Romney visits Pa. on eve of 2nd presidential debate
The wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is appearing in Pennsylvania.
Ann Romney attended a rally at Elizabethtown College in Lancaster County on Monday, saying she wants people to know that her husband is a compassionate man who can identify with the average American.
In an interview earlier with talk-show host Dom Giordano on WPHT-AM in Philadelphia, Romney said people at the Republican National Convention could see that her husband cares about everyday struggles and wants to make live better for all Americans.
Romney's appearance comes one day before Tuesday night's "town hall" debate between her husband and President Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, at Hofstra University on Long Island in New York.
It's the second of three presidential debates, which you'll be able to watch live on WFMZ-TV-69.1 and WFMZ.com at 9 p.m. Candy Crowley, CNN's chief political correspondent, will serve as moderator of the debate.
The third and final presidential debate is scheduled for next Monday at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. The topic will be foreign policy. Bob Schieffer of CBS's "Face the Nation" will serve as moderator.
