(CNN) -

Ron Paul will spend the evening Tuesday -- the day Arizona and Michigan voters head to polls -- in northern Virginia, a senior campaign official tells CNN.

Paul and Mitt Romney are the only two GOP candidates to appear on the Virginia ballot. Four other candidates, including Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, sued after they did not make the Virginia ballot, and in January, a federal judge denied their request.

Gingrich lives in Northern Virginia.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Feb. 8 showed Romney leading Paul, 68% to 19%.
