President Barack Obama's approval rating has hit a new low. But it's far from the worst approval rating in modern presidential history.

President Barack Obama's approval rating has hit a new low of 40 percent in the wake of frustration over immigration reform and foreign policy issues like the fighting in Gaza and conflict in Ukraine. That may sound really bad, and it's not good, but other presidents in modern history have had their share of bad times. Here's a look at the lowest approval ratings for U.S. presidents dating back to Harry Truman:
