The man who lost a special election in Pennsylvania's 134th legislative district won't be back for round two.
Democrat Patrick Slattery said he is bowing out due to "personal and professional constraints."
Slattery lost the election in April to Republican Ryan MacKenzie.
MacKenzie is now serving the remainder of Doug Reichley's term in the state House of Representatives.
Both Slattery and MacKenzie were expected to square off again in November when the term expires.
