Voters OK same-sex marriage in MD, ME; CO voters approve pot

Last night was a landmark night for advocates of same-sex marriage.
Voters in Maryland and Maine signed off on gay marriage.
They're the first two states to do so via the popular vote.
A gay marriage referendum in Washington is also leaning towards approval.
Minnesota voters defeated a proposed constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
Similar measures have been approved in dozens of other states.
Colorado became the first state to approve the legalization of marijuana through the popular vote setting up a battle with the federal government.
