2 dozen restaurants taking part in GRIRA's Restaurant Week

A super-sized restaurant week has started in greater Reading.

It runs from through Sun., Oct. 14. Two dozen local restaurants in Berks County are taking part.

Some restaurants, like Flanagan's Pub in Shillington, even put out special lunch and dinner menus for the 10-day event.

"It's nice because it highlights the local businesses. There are no chains involved," said Timothy Nagle, co-executive chef.

The week is organized by the Greater Reading Independent Restaurant Association.
