Police are investigating a three-vehicle accident in Berks County.

It happened at the intersection of Route 183/Bernville Road and Old Church Road in Penn Twp. around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said a driver fell asleep at the wheel and rear ended the car in front, which was pushed into a third vehicle.

One person was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Route 183 was closed for a few hours.
