Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision in Exeter Twp., Berks Co.

It happened at around 5 p.m. Thursday on Route 562 near Farming Ridge Boulevard.

Crews at the scene tell us that one of the vehicles drifted into the center lane.

Both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles and had to be freed.

They're expected to recover.

Route 562 was closed for about four hours.
