Thanksgiving parades in New York City and Philadelphia featured a host of talent from Berks County.
The Boyertown Herald Trumpets, along with the West Chester University Flag Team, led off what is billed as the nation's oldest Thanksgiving Day march, the 93rd annual parade down the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.
A tribute to Hollywood also featured a number of local high school students.
The parade concluded with the arrival of Santa Claus in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum.
Also a longstanding tradition is the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, now in its 86th year.
One of the big highlights of the parade each year is the Great American Marching Band, produced by Exeter Twp., Berks Co.-based Music Tours Unlimited.
More than 200 student musicians and dancers from all 50 states made up this year's band, which included several members representing Berks County.
