A man accused of trying to force a 14-year-old girl into prostitution is heading to trial.

Christopher Yingling waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon, court officials said.

Yingling physically and sexually abused a young girl, authorities said.

Yingling is charged with sexual assault, corruption of minors and related offenses. He's been behind bars since January when police said he shot a man in Spring Township.

The victim survived.
