Officials have closed boat launches at Blue Marsh Lake, Berks County, due to high water and unsafe conditions.

The announcement came Saturday morning.

Officials said recent rains and flood reduction operations have caused high water and unsafe conditions in the lake.

The boat ramps will remain closed until conditions permit park officials to release the additional water and pool drops.
