Friday afternoon some homeless people in Reading received the only Christmas gift they'll get this year.
Adamstown-based Bollman Hat Company donated hundreds of hats to people at the Opportunity House in Reading. The company has been making a donation for the past few years.
Officials say they're happy to do it during the cold holiday season.
"Hats keep you very warm in the winter," said Don Rongione, CEO of Bollman. "It's been documented that maybe 80 percent of body heat is lost through your head so hats keep people warm and lift the spirit."
The company also donated hats to Mary's Shelter in Reading on Friday.
