Hundreds of people bowled Sunday in Berks County and this time the strikes didn't matter all that much.

The Bowl-a-thon for Mary's Shelter was held at Berks Lanes in Sinking Spring.

Organizers said the annual event usually draws around 500 bowlers.

The goal is to raise $25,000 for Mary's Shelter, located at 325 S. 12th Street in Reading,  which helps homeless pregnant women in Berks County.
