Coroner identifies homicide victim as man, 22
Brett Miller, 69 News
The coroner has identified a man who was shot and killed over the weekend.
Anthony Omar Gonzalez was found dead Saturday morning in an alley behind Woodward Street in Reading.
Gonzalez, 22, died of multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, the coroner said.
He was shot sometime between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Saturday, but his body was not found until around 9 a.m., police said.
Authorities said they had some trouble identifying Gonzalez because much of his family lives in Puerto Rico.
No arrests have been made in the homicide.
Gonzalez was Reading's third homicide victim of 2012.
Crime Alert Berks County is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. You can call 877-373-9913 with your anonymous tip.
