Fire breaks out at home in Laureldale

Firefighters in Laureldale, Berks County battled a house fire Saturday afternoon.

The fire broke out in the 3300 block of Raymond Street just after 1pm, officials said.

Police said one man in a wheelchair was taken out of the home, but he's expected to be okay.  They said flames were visible and the man was on oxygen, so they were lucky to get him out on time.

There's no word on how the fire started, but officials are investigating.
