Three fire companies in the Boyertown area are joining forces in about a year and a half.
Officials said the Friendship Hook and Ladder Company and the Keystone Steam Fire Engine Company are merging with the Liberty Fire Company.
They'll operate from the same firehouses, but under the name Boyertown Area Fire and Rescue.
Officials said they're merging because they are seeing more calls and fewer donations.
