Fire forces 2 families out of homes in Reading
Firefighters dispatched to scene twice early Tuesday morning
A fire has displaced two families from their homes in Reading.
The fire broke out early Tuesday morning in the 900 block of North 5th Street.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire, but they were called back to the scene a short time later for the fire starting up again, officials said.
Much of the damage was contained to a wall, but there was smoke damage throughout the second floor, officials said.
No one was hurt.
The American Red Cross said it is providing food and a place to stay to a family of four adults and a child and another family of two adults and a child.
