Fraternity raises money for student's heart transplant
A fraternity at Kutztown University is trying to bring some light to a fellow fraternity member in need.
The Sigma Lambda Beta fraternity tonight held a "Light Up the Night" fundraiser for a Penn State University student who needs a heart transplant.
DuShawn Roberts was told last month that he needed a second heart transplant.
"The doctors have given him an ultimatum It's either get another heart or his life will be cut in half," said Brandon Fuller of Sigma Lambda Beta.
Roberts needs to raise $10,000 for the surgery.
The fraternity sold lanterns that were released into the sky in Roberts' honor.
We're told that at least $500 was raised.
