READING, Pa. -

A former television personality from our area is helping give the art scene in Reading a big boost.

Gene London is the former host of the long-running children's show "Cartoon Corners."

He's now working on a blown-glass dragon-fly that will be auctioned off at the Goggleworks' annual gala.

London is learning from the glass studio manager and says they have even more projects in mind.

"When you find a facility like this which is really a masterpiece of a facility that can teach anyone to do anything that they want glassblowing is very confusing to people," said London.

The piece will be auctioned off at the gala on Saturday.

You can still get tickets for the event.
