Heavy rain and strong winds ripped through the region Tuesday night causing heavy flooding, toppling trees and knocking out power.

69 News cameras were in Womelsdorf as crews were cleaning up the fallen trees and repairing downed wires.

At one point Tuesday night nearly 2,000 Met-Ed customers lost power and 1,500 are still powerless at this hour.

Folks in Pottstown had to deal with severe flooding.

A Fed-Ex truck got stuck in the flooded waters under a railroad bridge on South Keim Street.

Crews worked to get the truck out and four lanes of West High Street were washed out at College Drive.
