KUTZTOWN, Pa. -

The oldest folk-life festival in America has officially started in Berks County.

The Kutztown Folk Festival opened its gates to the masses Saturday for its 63rd year.

The Berks County staple offers fun for the whole family including crafts, games and food.

The festival has been named one of USA Today's top national celebrations.

"I think its a real special time for the family. We try to please the whole family. We have stuff for the whole family and its been going on for 63 years. It's one of the finest folk festivals in the country. We have something special here in the Lehigh Valley - Berks County area," said Dave Fooks, Executive Director of the festival.

The festival runs until Sunday, July 8th.
