The Reading Company's Franklin Street Station, opened in 1930, served as a passenger depot until its closing in 1981. Acquired by BARTA in 2005, the station was renovated and rededicated on May 10, 2013.

The Reading Company's Franklin Street Station, now owned by BARTA, is located in the 100 block of South 7th Street in downtown Reading. Its uses include a passenger waiting and customer service area and a transportation museum.
