2nd alarm struck for fire near Douglassville

UNION TWP., Pa. -

Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at a home in Berks County on Friday.

Dispatchers put out the call shortly after 3 p.m. for a fire at 8 Heather Lane in Union Township.

The second alarm was struck shortly after the first crews arrived on the scene. They managed to contain most of the damage to the home's garage.

There were no reports of injuries.

Investigators have not yet determined how the fire started.
