People made some strides Saturday in raising awareness about a rare disease.
Folks participated in the Cap 5K in Bern Township.
The race is geared to raise awareness about Alopecia.
That's an incurable auto immune disease that leads to natural hair loss in kids.
Organizers say the disease is painless and not life-threatening.
Jeff Woytovich, founder of Children's Alopecia Project, said, "It's life altering because the child has to deal with bullying, insecurity and confidence issues. So, we're here to help build self-esteem and support the families.
People also took part in a 1-mile fun run.
