Monday, a man wanted on homicide charges in Puerto Rico was arrested by U-S-Marshals in Reading.
Officials said 42-year-old Felix Adino-Nieves was wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Puerto Rico back in 2005.
Adino-Nieves was the fourth homicide suspect from Puerto Rico to be nabbed in Berks County in a little over one year.
On Tuesday, snow made for some difficult travel in the region.
It was the second snowstorm to hit the area in three days.
There were some treacherous road conditions around the area, especially during the morning commute.
Wednesday, police in the Poconos investigated the death of a New York City college freshman who was injured during a fraternity ritual.
Investigators said 19-year-old Chun Deng, who went by the name Michael, was staying at a home in Tunkhannock Township with about 30 members of the Pi Delta Psi fraternity.
He was one of four pledges in Monroe County from Baruch College in Manhattan.
Officials said criminal charges are likely.
On Thursday, an alert child helped rescue his family from a devastating fire.
The fire devastated this home in the 400 block of North 4th Street in Allentown.
The family of five, who were asleep when the fire hit, made it out of the house safely thanks to the actions of a 5-year-old boy.
Firefighters said there were no smoke detectors in the home. The family was awoken by the young boy, who said he smelled smoke.
Friday, Anne Jaindl, the matriarch of the Jaindl turkey farming family, was severely injured after an accident in South Whitehall Friday afternoon.
Police said the Mercedes-Benz she was driving went off the road and flipped in a ditch.
Jaindl remains in critical condition at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
