Police issued more than 85 citations during the Wednesday morning commute on Route 422 in Exeter Township.
Drivers were cited for running red lights, tailgating and speeding. Those who exhibited other unsafe behaviors, such as driving too fast for conditions and following other motorists too closely, were also cited, police said.
The aggressive driving enforcement was part of a statewide effort involving state police and more than 300 municipal agencies. It was funded by part of PennDOT's $.25 million investment of funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
