RICHMOND TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

A young Berks County man was killed Sunday when he lost control of his car and crashed, officials said.

The accident happened just before 3 a.m. on Route 662 in Richmond Township. Benjamin Abraham was driving north when he lost control of his car around a curve just before Scheiry Road, police said.

Abraham's car struck two other vehicles before hitting a utility pole.

Abraham, 20, of Oley Township, died at the scene, the coroner said. No one else was injured.

Route 662 was closed while crews worked to replace a pole that was damaged in the accident.
