Officials with Berks Encore are trying to clear the air about the Affordable Care Act.

Exchanges for people shopping for health insurance opened October 1.

There have been some problems with the website, but Tuesday's meeting at a church in Kutztown is about helping folks prepare.

"If you are on Medicare this Affordable Care Act is really not affecting your Medicare benefits right now. This Affordable Care Act is aimed at helping people who are under 65 and not on Medicare. Mainly people who are uninsured or under-insured or who pay a lot of money for their employer coverage," said Kaitlin Becker.

Berks Encore will host a similar meeting Wednesday night at 7:00. It will be at the Robeson Evangelical Lutheran Church on Plow Road in Mohnton.
