READING, Pa. -

Cups of compassion were overflowing in center city Reading Thursday morning.

For the second year in a row, nearly 100 volunteers came together to help the less fortunate during the holiday season.

Organizers say they served soup, chili, burgers and and hot dogs to about a thousand people at Fifth and Penn streets.

They also gave out hats and gloves to those in need.

Organizers say they are already planning to be here again next year.
