Drill prepares Met-Ed workers for next big storm
'We've learned from Sandy,' says company's regional president
Met-Ed isn't waiting around for Mother Nature's next surprise.
The power company conducted a storm drill at its headquarters in Muhlenberg Twp., Berks Co., on Thursday.
Employees responded to a mock storm to test changes that have been made since Hurricane Sandy.
"We've learned from Sandy. We made technology changes and how we communicate to our customers, how we communicate internally, and through these drills we're able to make sure they work," said Mike Doran, regional president, Met-Ed.
The drills are meant to help Met-Ed find ways to improve operations.
