READING, Pa. -

It's a mixed verdict for a former Reading mayoral candidate who was accused of illegally selling booze in the city.

Court officials say former Democratic candidate Bob Melendez was found guilty of two counts of conspiracy charges for unlawful liquor sales.

But they say he's been found not guilty on all counts of unlawful liquor sales.

Melendez had been accused of running a speakeasy in the building in the 300 block of Washington Street last year.

He's been ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
