Two men who admitted to taking part in a copper theft ring that spanned two counties have learned their fate.

Harris Wilkinson and Maurice Ohlinger pleaded guilty to numerous counts of theft and burglary.

Wilkinson was sentenced to nine to 23 years and prison, and Ohlinger will spend two to four years behind bars.

The men, police said, stole copper from substations in Berks and Montgomery counties over a span of more than two years.

Investigators said the big break in the case came when Wilkinson shocked himself at a Met-Ed substation in Exeter Township.
