Teaneck, N.J. -

Kutztown University's president is one of two finalists being considered to take the helm at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Javier Cevallos is scheduled to visit the university in New Jersey on April 18. He'll have to attend a series of town hall meetings.

Those who attend the meetings will then be invited to share their opinions and comments with FDU's search committee before the decision is made.

Cevallos has been president of KU since 2002.

The other finalist for the FDU job is Jorge Haddock, dean of the School of Management at George Mason University in Virginia.

Fairleigh Dickinson, founded in 1942, is the largest independent university in New Jersey with more than 12,000 students. It also has campuses in Canada and the United Kingdom.
