LONGSWAMP TWP., Pa. -

A man has found himself on the other side of the law he wanted to enforce.

Members of the Berks County Emergency Response Team converged on 97 Waldon Circle in Longswamp Twp., Berks Co., on Sunday with a warrant to search the home.

When no one answered multiple knocks on the front door, agents forced their way inside the trailer home, according to court documents.

Brandon Geiger ran out a side door carrying a large dog food bag and a backpack, both containing a combined 11 pounds of marijuana, officials said. Geiger, 27, didn't get too far, however, before officers apprehended him.

A search of the home turned up three marijuana plants, a handgun, bullet proof vest, more than $15,000 in cash and seven cell phones, according to court documents.

A woman and two children were also inside the home at the time of the raid, officials said.

Geiger was charged with various drug offenses and committed to the Berks County Jail on $100,000 bail. During his preliminary hearing, he told the judge he was due to start training at a police academy on Monday.
