Norman Vega - homicide scene
READING, Pa. -

A man charged in connection with two cold case killings in Berks County is heading to trial.

All charges against Norman Vega were held for court at a preliminary hearing Tuesday.

Vega is responsible for the death of Jason Stief in October 2004, authorities said. Stief was killed at the McDonald's drive-thru at North 9th and Spring streets in Reading.

Police said they think Vega killed him because Stief identified Vega as one of the culprits behind the death of Stief's friend, Michael Colon, who was also killed in 2004.

The cases remained unsolved until this year.
