CUMRU TWP., Pa. -

An anonymous tip has led police to arrest a suspect in two bank robberies.

Alvin Reyes-Marrero was arrested Wednesday and charged in the robbery of the Metro Bank on East Lancaster Avenue in Cumru Twp., Berks Co., Monday afternoon.

A tipster called Crime Alert Berks County after seeing Reyes-Marrero's alleged getaway car parked in the 300 block of Minor Street in Reading, police said. A surveillance picture of that car was shown Tuesday in local media, including 69 News and WFMZ.com.

Reyes-Marrero, who was found to have money belonging to Metro Bank, admitted to his roles in both the robbery in Cumru Township on Monday and the Metro Bank holdup in Muhlenberg Township on June 4, police said.

Lemuel Nieves was also arrested and charged in the Muhlenberg robbery.
