READING, Pa. -

A man was punched in the head and robbed of the $10 he had in his pocket, police said.

The robbery was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of South 5th and Chestnut streets in Reading.

The robber demanded money from the victim before punching him in the head and knocking him to the ground, police said.

The robber then grabbed $10 out of the victim's pocket and took off, last seen running west on Chestnut Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital, but police said they believe his injuries are non-life-threatening.

The robber was described as a white man in his 20s. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers. He has long curly hair.
