BOYERTOWN, Pa. -

Fire crews in Berks County are still looking into what sparked a fire at an apartment building late Thursday night.

Firefighters say the blaze broke out around 10:45 p.m. at the Boyertown Inn at the corner of Philadelphia and Reading avenues in Boyertown.

Crews say the flames broke out in the upper stories of the building.

Fire officials said the damage is mainly on the fourth floor in a doorway and on the roof. It took about 90 minutes to get the fire under control.

There's no exact cause of the fire, but it's believed to be accidental, fire officials said.

Residents inside the building were able to get out and there were no injuries.

Eight people were displaced by the fire, but are in alternate housing.
