Police: Vacant buildings targeted by copper thieves
Police in West Reading are urging residents to be on alert after copper thieves took aim at two vacant houses.
Someone took copper piping from vacant houses in the 200 block of Chestnut Street between Friday and Tuesday, police said.
Residents should keep an eye on houses that are vacant or houses with "for sale" signs, police said.
Anyone who sees anything suspicious should call West Reading police.
