Wanted person nabbed in Wyomissing
WYOMISSING, Pa. -

A call to police about suspicious activity led to the arrests of three would-be burglars Friday morning, police said.

The caller reported seeing the three men behind a vacant house in the 700 block of West Waverly Street in Shillington, Berks Co.

Officers responded and took one of the men into custody, but the other two men managed to get away, police said. The second was caught about five blocks away from the house.

A search for the third man, which involved officers from neighboring departments and a K9 from Exeter Township, lasted about an hour before police nabbed him off Timberline Drive, near the Berkshire Mall in Wyomissing.

All three men are facing attempted burglary and related charges, police said.

Shillington's police chief, Brett Hivner, said his department was assisted in the search by officers from Cumru, Spring, West Reading, Wyomissing and Exeter and deputies with the Berks County Sheriff's Department.
