Railcar company in Kutztown to close, let go 110 workers
A foundry in Kutztown is closing, leaving 110 workers out of a job.
McConway and Torley has told the state it plans to close its plant on Railroad Street in Kutztown on May 5.
The company bought the Kutztown Foundry in 1980, but it said the facility dates back to 1869.
The company supplies steel castings to railroad companies.
