READING, Pa. -

Reading Police said a man was shot overnight in the city, but the details of the incident are sketchy.

Officials said a man arrived at Reading Hospital with a gunshot wound early Saturday morning.  Police said the man told them he was shot as a passenger inside a taxi in the city at 5th and Penn streets.

But police said they contact both taxi companies in the city, neither of which was involved in any shootings, officials said.

Police said they heard shots fired in the city at Franklin and Orange streets about an hour before the man showed up at the hospital.  They also found shell casings at that scene.  Police said they are investigating whether that's where the man was shot.

There's no word on his name or condition.
