Things are getting wild at the Reading Public Museum! Now that the Dinosaurs exhibit is extinct, the museum is in the process of setting up four new exhibits.
The theme is "Reading Public Museum Goes Wild."
The four exhibits are: Animal Secrets, Predators, Animals in Art, and Animals in Glass. They will open on Saturday.
The exhibits are geared toward different age groups and include many hands-on activities for kids. There's a life-size shark and a shark cage that make for a great photo opportunity.
You can also climb into an eagle's nest or chipmunk's hole. You can view art or handmade glass animals.
A new planetarium show, called "Dynamic Earth," will also open on Saturday, which also happens to be the Smithsonian Museum Day Live! That means you can go to Smithsonian.com/museumday to download a free ticket.
The exhibits open to Reading Public Museum members at 10 a.m. and to the general public at 11 a.m.
The exhibit will be up through January 13. Throughout that time, the museum will be having lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and other events.
