At least one person was injured in an accident involving a Reading police car and two other vehicles.
The crash happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. Thursday on South 5th Street, near the intersection with Chestnut.
Multiple ambulances were initially dispatched to the scene. At least one person was taken to the hospital, but there were no reports of serious injuries.
Pictures from the scene appeared to show that the police car struck the rear of another vehicle, causing heavy front-end damage to the cruiser. The third vehicle suffered minimal damage.
Police have not yet said whether the officer was responding to a call at the time of the crash.
