Reading Police are investigating a shooting that killed two relatives and sent a third one to the hospital.

Neighbors said a loud fight broke out just before midnight Friday night near Pear and Elm streets.  After that, up to ten shots were fired.  When it was over, 23 year-old Geovanie Collazo-Rosa was dead.  51 year-old Efrain Lopez-Collazo, a relative who reportedly lived next door, died at a nearby hospital.  Police said a third relative was also shot and is in the hospital; his name is not being released.

While police haven't made any arrests, the investigation is focusing on two neighboring houses where search warrants were executed.

Neighbor Frank Eaddy Senior's windshield is a visible reminders of the gunfire that rang out in front of his home.

"I thought it was a war zone out here or something," he said.

Another reminder is the fresh white snow now stained with blood.

"All I know is that people were out here screaming when it occurred," he said.

Distraught friends are family packed into the Efrain's home on Saturday.

"I love my brother," said Jose Arecemede, a friend of the victims.  "I love their son.  I love this family."

Police said they have made no arrests yet, but the investigation is focusing on two nearby homes where authorities executed search warrants and, according to neighbors, left with bags of evidence.  So far, those warrants remain sealed.

"I'm just going get out of there," said Eaddy.  "That's the bottom line.  I can't be having this."

Eaddy said he is tired of the violence.

"I don't feel comfortable," he said.  "I don't feel safe, I mean, walking down the street."

Neighbors said police brought several people out of a nearby house in handcuffs, but again, investigators said no one has been arrested yet.  Neighbors also said they weren't aware of any feuds between the victims and anyone else.
