BERN TWP., Pa. -

Students doubled as business owners at Berks Career and Technology Center in Bern Twp.

It's part of an innovative program that lets students create and run companies in a virtual world.

The students modeled their businesses after local companies.

Thursday, students showed off their work during an international web conference.

The students did everything from marketing to accounting.

They even paid federal, state and local taxes in the virtual economy.
