Some folks in Berks County were getting a head start on a tradition that is normally reserved for New Year's Day.

St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Robesonia held an all-you-can-eat pork and sauerkraut dinner on Saturday.
The pork and sauerkraut meal  is a Pennsylvania German tradition that dates back several centuries.

Experts say eating pork and sauerkraut will bring you good luck for the New Year.
