READING, Pa. -

Students at 13th and Union Elementary School in Reading are spreading some cheer.

Third graders delivered chemotherapy bags to cancer patients at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bern Township on Wednesday.

The bags were filled with things to make the patients comfortable during their hospital visits.

"We have been doing acts of kindness during the month of February and it's kind of gone over to the month of March," said Samantha Frees, 13th and Union Elementary. "There's an act of kindness week in February, but we turned it into an act of kindness month."

Students said everyone was happy to receive a gift.
